Two Sizes Smaller A.C. Lewis YMCA

Two Sizes Smaller is a 12 week Weight Loss/Wellness Program for Women!

We are currently registering for the February 6th session!

Session 1: M & W at 7:00PM; Sat. 9:00AM - Exercise sessions (1 hour)
Mon. 5:45PM-7:00 – Weigh in and Nutrition session

$500 for YMCA members & $650 for non YMCA members

12 week program; February 6th – April 28th
Exercise 3 days a week; weekly weigh ins; weekly nutrition lectures
Group support
A variety of workouts will be introduced; walking, strength training, water exercise, Gravity training, yoga, Pilates, & more
Log your workouts for additional support through our online workout system, ActivTrax
Challenges will be included for additional incentives
Learn about the 3 components of food, calculating calories, portion control, enhancing your eating awareness, recipe modification, dining out successfully, &making time for your healthy lifestyle
Log your food online using our ActivTrax customized nutrition tool
Change habits and make healthy lifestyle changes along the way
Fees include a participant t-shirt

Exercise Sessions
Meet certified Personal Trainers for your workouts. These small group training sessions will have a maximum ratio trainer/participant of 1 to 7. Workouts are three days a week with your group and will include a variety of disciplines. This is a semi-personal training class following ACSM guidelines for cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility training.

Nutrition Class
Meet once a week for nutrition class taught by registered dietician. These group educational classes cover the basics of nutrition, weight management, behavior modification, sports nutrition, and more.

 

Weekly Weigh In

Weigh in weekly and share your experiences and challenges with other ladies facing the same struggles. Discuss fitness topics and behavioral issues you are facing.

Pre & Post Assessment

Before the program begins you will meet with the dietician and trainer one-on-one. Your assessment will include a health history, body composition analysis, measurements, muscular strength and endurance test, and cardiovascular endurance test. Set realistic goals for exercise, weight loss, and body fat reduction. You will be given an estimate of your basal metabolic rate and an estimated daily caloric intake personalized for you. Upon completion of the program you will be assessed again. Compare your results and set additional goals for your continued healthy lifestyle.
