
Baseball and T-ball
YMCA Youth Sports Leagues are designed for children of all ages and stress development of skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive competition in a fun environment. All participants will play equal amounts of time during the games and will have the opportunity to play at all different positions throughout the season.
Locations Available
Registration
The registration for the youth baseball league usually begins in mid January and ends in late February.
Age Groups
This sport is for boys and girls as young as 3 years old up to 11 years of age. The children are grouped together in divisions that are broken down into 2-year increments. Ages may vary by branch, so check with your local YMCA for league details.
Games
Games are held on weeknights or Saturdays for length of eight weeks. Game times will vary.
Practices
Practices are usually held a minimum of once per week up to a maximum of twice per week. Practice times are set by the coaches and are usually held during the week in the evenings between 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Volunteers
We are always looking for energetic moms and dads to be volunteer coaches and help the YMCA build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. Please inform the program director if you wish to be a volunteer coach.
Recommended Equipment
Baseball glove, athletic shoes and shorts/pants are required. Baseball cleats and athletic cups are recommended. All other equipment is provided by the YMCA.
